The American Bar Association (ABA) and several other state and municipal bar associations next month will present the Second Annual Washington Healthcare Summit.
The co-sponsors include the Boston Bar Association, the DC Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Virginia Bar Association.
The two-day conference is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, December 6 and 7 at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, 1250 South Hayes Street, Arlington, VA. Sessions will run from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the first day and 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on the second day.
The Summit is designed to provide a unique opportunity for attendees to learn from and interact with noteworthy government officials and experienced practitioners in the healthcare arena.
Serving as co-chairs for the conference are Linda A. Baumann, ReedSmith LLP, and Patricia T. Meador, Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman, LLP. Among other speakers are Alex Azar, general counsel, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Gene W. Matthews, former general counsel and legal adviser, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Gerald Pappert, Pennsylvania state attorney general, and Robert S. Salcido, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
