Good writing is at the heart of good lawyering. Attorneys' briefs and motions must compete with hundreds of others for a judge's attention.
To help lawyers enhance this key skill, the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) on Thursday, July 22 will offer a CLE seminar titled Legal Writing With Judge Mark Painter.
The featured speaker is the Hon. Mark P. Painter, judge of the First District Court of Appeals of Ohio in Cincinnati. More than 240 of Judge Painter's decisions have been published nationally and he has taught more than 85 CLE seminars for the Ohio Judicial College.
The program will be broadcast live via satellite from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. to nine Ohio locations. Registration at each location begins at 8 a.m.
