'Financing Renewable Energy Projects'

Public sentiment, domestically and internationally, legislative initiatives driven by a desire to foster greater energy independence and other factors are contributing to an increased awareness of the need for renewable energy projects. With this in mind, the DC Bar Association on Wednesday, June 16 will present a seminar titled Financing Renewable Energy Projects.

This session will attempt to answer questions such as: Has the corner on financing renewable energy projects been turned? Where is financing available? Are lenders more comfortable lending to renewable energy project developers? How large must projects be to attract financing? Are the technology concerns moot?

Speakers will include knowledgeable industry development and financing personnel who will discuss whether renewable energy projects represent a revitalized and finaceable energy development option.

Serving as program chair is Samir S. Desai, Baker & McKenzie.

The program will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.
