The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) this month will present a CLE seminar titled Ethics and Professionalism at two greater New York City locations.
The program will take place on Friday, June 11 at the Long Island Marriott, 101 James Doolittle Boulevard, Uniondale, NY, and on Friday, June 18 at New York's Hotel Pennsylvania, 401 Seventh Avenue, New York City. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 12:35 p.m., with registration starting at 8:30 a.m.
The program is based on film clips from major television and motion picture productions depicting attorneys and the ethical and professional dilemmas they face. In an engaging and entertaining format, the program will feature a panel of practitioners, disciplinary counsel and ethicists discussing the issues raised in a number of productions, including episodes drawn from the award-winning series Law and Order, and a discussion based on video clips from The Verdict.
While this program will involve ethical issues arising primarily in civil and criminal litigation, care has been taken to focus primarily on those issues equally germane in litigation and non-litigation settings.
