Effects Of New Security MeasuresOn Cross-Border Transactions

The firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain, LLP this month will join with the Greater New York Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel-America in presenting a CLE seminar titled The New Normal: Ensuring the New Security Conscious Border Does Not Disrupt Your Business Objectives.

The program, co-sponsored by the New York State Bar Association International Law and Practice Section, is scheduled for Friday, April 16.

As border enforcement transitions to security concerns rather than revenue generation, businesses are becoming concerned that these new measures may affect the flow of goods and people across borders. Attendees at this session will learn about new initiatives undertaken by NAFTA partners to ensure that trade continues to flow freely throughout North America while simultaneously identifying potential pitfalls in the new barriers that are being erected to help ensure that firms, their employees and goods they produce will not be unnecessarily hindered.

Speakers will be Dalton Albrecht, Fraser Milner, and Matthew Nolan, Miller & Chevalier Chartered.

The program will take place from 8 to 9:15 a.m. at the University Club, 1 West 54th Street, New York City.
