On Thursday and Friday, February 3 and 4, The Voice of the Defense Bar is offering a two-day seminar titled Sharing Success - A Seminar for Women Lawyers.The event will be held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, 4441 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida.
Day one begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m., day two begins at 8:00 a.m. and adjourns at 1:05 p.m.
Attendees will have an opportunity to meet and network with women lawyers from across the United States and Canada. Seminar participants will hear about the challenges in-house counsel face and how outside counsel lawyers can become trusted advisors.The programs are designed to help women lawyers maximize their full potential in the courtroom, law firm and community. Topics will address the unique challenges women face in the practice of law and an alternative model for success based on a woman's distinctive communication style and personality.
The topics include What Makes Technology-Addicted Juries Listen; Advice on Cross-examining an Expert Witness; In-house Counsel's Views on Successful Lawyering; Ways to Create a Female-friendly Work Environment; and Tips on Engaging in Fulfilling Mentoring Relationships.
