Dealing With Foreign CompetitorsThrough The International Trade Commission

The firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP this month is offering a CLE seminar titled U.S. International Trade Commission - Section 337 Presentation.

The program will take place on Tuesday, May 10 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Akin Gump offices, One Commerce Square, 2005 Market Street, Philadelphia.

In the tumultuous foreign international arena, there is no more powerful weapon against foreign competitors than an International Trade Commission (ITC) Section 337 order excluding their infringing articles from entry into the United States.Just as the patentee must have an expert to pursue this remedy, respondents need counsel with special expertise to effectively protect their rights.

The featured speaker will be Arthur Wineburg, an Akin Gump attorney and former director of the ITC in charge of the Section337 investigative staff.

There is no registration fee for the seminar. Akin Gump will provide a complimentary lunch.
