DC Bar Slates Two Ethics Seminars

The DC Bar Association's December CLE calendar includes two ethics seminars.

On Wednesday, December 8, DC Bar will present Legal Ethics and Substance Abuse from 6 to 9:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, DC.

Speakers include Lynn Phillips, director of the DC Bar Lawyering Counseling Program; Roger Warin, Steptoe & Johnson; H. Clay Smith, assistant bar counsel, DC Bar Office of Bar Counsel, and Samuel McClendon, solo practitioner.

On Friday, December 17, DC Bar is offering Practical Answers to Real Life Ethics Issues from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., also at the DC Bar Conference Center.

Speakers for this session will include William Freivogel, senior vice president-loss prevention, Aon Risk Services; Alan S. Goldberg, Goulston & Storrs; Aaron E. Hoffman, loss prevention counsel, Attorneys' Liability Assurance Society, and Ernest T. Lindberg, director of legal ethics, DC Bar Association.
