On Thursday, June 30, the DC Bar invites members and nonmembers to attend the 2011 Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner to celebrate the extraordinary work of individual sections, pro bono attorneys, law firms, and others whose service to the bar and the community will be recognized.
The evening begins with a networking reception from 7:00 until 7:30 p.m. in the China Room of the historic Mayflower Renaissance Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Avenue, NW in Washington, DC. Dinner and the awards program will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the grand ballroom of the hotel.
The DC Bar Association is proud to announce the award winners this year are Paul S. Koffsky, deputy general counsel for Personnel and Health Policy at the U.S. Department of Defense, who will receive the Beatrice Rosenberg Award for Excellence in Government Service, and Maureen Thornton Syracuse, executive director for the DC Bar Pro Bono Program, who will be presented with the William J. Brennan, Jr. Award.
