The New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE), The New Jersey Corporate Counsel Association and the New Jersey Bar Association early this month are planning their 2004 Intellectual Property Summit.
The conference will take place on Thursday, December 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nassau Inn, Princeton, NJ.
At this comprehensive program, attendees will hear some of the region's most authoritative intellectual property practitioners address today's hottest issues in the areas of patent, trademark and copyright law. They also will explore practical strategies and best practices for managing legal risks involved in dealing with intellectual property. The conference also will include a discussion of ethical issues facing today's IP practitioner.
Some of the specific discussion topics to be addressed at the day-long session include: What Is Hot and New in Patent Law: Prosecution, Litigation and Business Issues; Madrid Protocol; Insurance Issues and Risk Planning; Antitrust Issues in IP Transactions; Electronic Discovery in IP Cases, and How Patents Are Reviewed and Analyzed; A Business and Investment Perspective.
