Corporate Counsel University - A Refresher On The Basics

To help attorneys who are new to the corporate legal environment succeed, the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) next month is offering its 2nd Annual Corporate Counsel University: The Basics of In-House Counseling. The event also will give more seasoned corporate lawyers a refresher on practice fundamentals.

The conference will take place Sunday through Tuesday, May 16-18 at the Fairmont Dallas Hotel in Dallas, TX. Sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At Corporate Counsel University, attendees will be brought up to speed on all the big issues for which nothing else has prepared them. This includes the most recent developments in corporate compliance, ethics and professional responsibility for in-house counsel, effective practice techniques for working with corporate management, and hot topics in major areas of corporate law.

New this year, ACC is offering a mini-seminar covering the specialized needs of small law department practitioners. These programs will focus on issues that are unique to small departments, and attendees will receive practical tips from those who don't have a big staff or a lot of resources at their disposal.
