The second annual Goizueta Directors Institute Conference aimed at officers and directors of publicly traded companies has been scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, May 26 and 27 at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta.
During this intensive, two-day conference, participants will hear from officers, directors and other leaders in the corporate, financial, legal and governmental worlds whose experience in governance can help organizations adjust to the new requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley and the exchanges.
Rather than focus on potential negatives, the conference will examine how management and board members can manage and execute strategies, resulting in success while creating a more open and dynamic culture of governance.
Among the speakers at the conference are Mike Eskew, chairman and CEO of UPS; Eric Pillmore, senior vice president of corporate governance of Tyco International; Donald Kempf, general counsel for Morgan Stanley, and Richard Kavanagh, president and CEO of The Conference Board.
