Geared toward seasoned federal court practitioners or those entering the courts for the first time, Federal Practice Update 2011 was designed to arm lawyers with the latest wisdom that the faculty - experienced federal attorneys and distinguished magistrate judges - will share.
The update will be held on Friday, May 20, at the CLECI Large Classroom, 1900 Grant Street in Denver, and it will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Recent developments, ethical issues, and what is expected of you in the court will be covered, as well as useful practice pointers that can be used right away. The discussion will include Wage and Hour Trends; E-Discovery: What We Can (And Should) Be Doing for Our Clients; Bringing Proportionality Back Into the Discovery Process: E-Discovery for the Other 97 percent of Us; Ethics: What's New for 2011; Federal District Local Rule Changes and How the Process Can Be Affected by Local Attorneys; and Pointers for Successful Litigation: The Magistrate Judge's Role in Your Case.
