Chicago Chapter Of ACC Schedules Luncheon Program On SOX Whistleblower Cases

When the Whistle Blows: Lessons Learned from Recent Sarbanes-Oxley Litigation and Recent Develoments, will be the topic addressed at a luncheon meeting of the Chicaco Chapter of ACC, sponsored by the firm of Neil Gerber Eisenberg LLP.

David B. Ritter, partner and chair of the Labor & Employment Practice group at Neal Gerber, will be the featured speaker at the program, which will be held on Tuesday, April 11 from 11:30 a.m to 1 p.m. at the firm's law offices, Two North LaSalle Street, Chicago.

After a review of recent SOX case law developments, including ALJ decisions (and outcomes and remedies awarded to successful claimants), Mr. Ritter will address the following issues: 1) how to decide whether to investigate SOX-related allegations internally or seek outside counsel; 2) understanding to what extent claimants can use confidential or privileged client information, and 3) practical tips and strategy for handling SOX claims.
