CBA, Colorado ACCA Plan7th Annual Business Law Institute

The Business Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America this month are planning their 7th Annual Business Law Institute.

The conference will take place Thursday through Saturday, August 10 through 12 at the Vail Cascade Hotel, 1300 Westhaven Drive, Vail, CO. Sessions will run from 1:15 to 5:30 p.m. on day one, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on day two and from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. on day three.

This year's program will feature the chief justice of the Delaware Supreme Court and other prominent jurists, professors and practitioners who will provide a discussion of the important developments in business law in Colorado and on the national level.

In addition, the program will present a discussion of drafting and other issues from both the transactional and litigation perspectives. The program concludes with in-depth discussions of the new ethics rules under consideration by the Colorado Supreme Court and the latest Sarbanes-Oxley developments.

Among the speakers are The Hon. Leland P. Anderson, First Judicial District of Colorado; the Hon. Philip S. Figa, U.S. District Court for Colorado; Mark J. Lowenstein, University of Colorado School of Law, and the Hon. Myron T. Steele, chief justice, Delaware Supreme Court.
