The Bar Association of San Francisco has scheduled a lunchtime seminar on Wednesday, July 14, to explain The Nuts and Bolts of Trademark Law.
It will be held at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery in San Francisco, and the lunch and program will run from noon to 1:30 p.m.
In this annual presentation, Lawrence Siskind of Harvey Siskind LLP will provide an overview of trademark law using literary classics to illustrate his points. He will cover the basic principles of trademark law and litigation, registration procedures, and legal frontier issues.
On Tuesday, July 20, Phil Zender, partner and IP group leader with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, L.L.P., will discuss the basics of trademark prosecution. He will cover the benefits of trademark registration, the requirements for registration, trademark searches and clearance, dealing with trademark examiners, steering clear of new fraud rules, and recent updates in the law.
The lunch and program will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the BASF conference center.
