BAMSL To Host Annual Corporate Counsel Institute

House Counsel Committee of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BASML) and the St. Louis Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel will co-sponsor the 25th annual St Louis Corporate Counsel Institute on April 13.

The full-day institute will be held at the Frontenac Hilton Hotel, 1335 S. Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis. Registration and continental breakfast begin at 7:45 a.m., followed by opening remarks by Thomas C. Burke, president of the St. Louis Chapter of ACC, and Lynn Ann Vogel, president of BAMSL 2006-2007.

Morning sessions include Employment Law Update, Current Issues on Corporate Securities Law and Balancing Act: Information Access and Protection. Afternoon sessions include Global Sourcing: Key Considerations When Your Company Considers Outsourcing Outside the U.S., Is the Ethical 'Squeeze' Being Put on Corporate Counsel? and the choice between breakout sessions on Subpoenas, Concealed Weapons, and Company Facilities or Clash of Cultures: Copyright Law in a Digital Age.

At the luncheon, Lee Epstein, Edward Mallinckrodt Distinguished University Professor of Political Science and Professor of Law, Washington University in St. Louis, will speak on The New Supreme Court: From Rehnquist to Roberts.
