Join the American Conference Institute for a two-day seminar looking into Wage & Hour Claims and Class Actions on Monday and Tuesday, May 23 and 24, at the New York Marriott Downtown, 85 West Street in New York City.

The conference starts Monday at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. On Tuesday the program begins at 8:15 a.m. and will adjourn at 3:15 p.m.

Wage and hour claims and class actions can be extremely lucrative for plaintiffs' counsel and are thus extremely attractive to the plaintiffs' bar right now. As such, defense counsel are facing an incredible number of cases, many worth millions of dollars. In addition, the federal Department of Labor as well as individual states have refocused their attention on wage and hour issues, increasing the pressure on defense counsel. With new and emerging causes of actions, a motivated plaintiffs' bar, and reinvigorated state and federal enforcement initiatives, defense counsel must have the insights and strategies necessary to defend their companies and clients. At this national forum, participants will obtain essential insights and strategies from the nation's leading wage and hour experts.

Among the faculty are Megan M. Belcher, ConAgra Foods, Inc.; Robert V. Schmitz, Hyatt Corporation; L. Michelle Gessner, Family Dollar Stores, Inc.; Roxane Marenberg, Cisco Systems, Inc.; Hon. Richard Kramer, San Francisco Superior Court; and Joel M. Cohn, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
