ACC Cleveland Program: Preserving In-House Attorney-Client Privilege

The Northeast Ohio ACC chapterwill offer a presentation titled How In-House Counsel Can Preserve the Attorney-Client Privilege: What Hat are You Wearing? on Thursday, August 18, at the Penton Media Building, 1300 East Ninth Street in Cleveland. It begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 10:30 a.m.

Speakers Kerin Lyn Kaminski and Karen L. Giffen of Giffen & Kaminski and Cynthia C. Schafer, counsel to AT&T's national Mobility and Consumer Markets business unit, will review the most recent case law regarding privilege. Other subjects under discussion are what lawyers can do to protect privilege and what privilege does to protect. The faculty will offer a number of hypothetical situations and discuss with participants the best practices to protect in-house privilege.
