ABA Intellectual Property Law SectionPlans 2005 Summer Conference

The Section of Intellectual Property Law of the American Bar Association (ABA) this month has scheduled its 2005 Summer IPL Conference.

The event will take place Wednesday-Saturday, June 22-25 at the Palace Hotel, 2 New Montgomery Street, San Francisco. CLE Sessions will run from 1:15 to 4:30 p.m. on the first day, 8 to 11:30 a.m. on the second day, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the third day, and 8:30 to 11:45 a.m. on the fourth day.

The Thursday luncheon keynote speaker will be the Hon. Ronald S.W. Lew, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Among the panel speakers are Steve Szczepanski, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP; Catherine Sun, Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, and Andrew P. Bridges, Winston & Strawn LLP.

The Section of Intellectual Property Law also will present a pre-conference CLE seminar titled Practical Tips on Enforcing and Defending Patents on Tuesday, June 21 from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m., also at the Palace Hotel.

Among the speakers at this session will be James R. Kyper Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP, and Greg Lanier and Robert C. Kahrl, Jones Day.
