AAA To Renew Seminar Series

The American Arbitration Association (AAA) this month is planning another presentation of a CLE seminar titled Enhancing the Strategic Value of the Legal Organization: Leading Practices That Get Results - What Works, Why and the Bottom-Line Benefits as part of its Dispute-WisesmBusiness Management series.

The program is scheduled for Tuesday & Wednesday, September 20 and 21 at a Chicago location to be announced.

This conference is designed specifically for senior-level in-house and outside counsel. The workshop structure is built around presentation, discussion and small working group exercises. This format is designed to allow faculty members to share their knowledge and experience through an exchange among workshop participants and faculty.

Among the "best-practice" topics to be discussed are: aligning the goals of the legal team with strategic corporate objectives; the overwhelming value of a portfolio approach to case management; new paradigms in the selecting and leveraging of outside counsel; framing legal advice in terms of business economics and outcomes, and structuring a legal department to manage its operations in the broader context of business goals and industry issues.

The faculty will be drawn from Stephen Chernow, Intelsat; Anne Donohue, SRA International, Inc.; Tim Gregory and Brian Powers, Caxton Growth Partners; Richard Hurford, Masco Corporation; Richard Naimark, AAA; Gary Stone, Parsons Corporation, or Mark Wolf, FMC Technologies, Inc.
