AAA Plans Third Of Four FAA Lectures

The American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution this month will present the third of four distinguished lectures to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA).

The program, titled Global Implications of the FAA: The Role of Legislation in International Arbitration, is scheduled for Friday, May 20 starting at 2:30 p.m. at the Conrad Dublin, Earlsford Terrace, Dublin, Ireland.

For 80 years, the Federal Arbitration Act has influenced the development of modern arbitration throughout the world. This lecture in the series will focus on the impact of this national legislation on international commercial arbitration.

The featured speakers will be Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler, a professor of private international law at the Geneva University Law School, and Rory Brady, attorney general for the government of Ireland.
