A Look At Federal Court In New York

The New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) this month is offering a CLE seminar titled Who's Afraid of the Federal Court?

The program will take place on Monday, March 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the NYCLA Home of Law, 14 Vesey Street, New York City.

This course provides attorneys with an insider's perspective into the operation of the federal courts, as seen by a sitting United States District Court judge, who also has served as a judge in New York State Supreme Court, and two of his clerks. Participants will learn when it is best to try a case in federal court and some of the pitfalls that must be avoided.

The program chair is the Hon. Harold Baer Jr., U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York. Other speakers will be Daniel Silver, clerk to Judge Baer, and Arminda Bradford Bepko, former clerk to Judge Baer.

For details on program fees and CLE credits, see the Bulletin Board on The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website at www.metrocorpcounsel.com.
