5th Annual International Insolvency Conference Slated June 6 and 7 At Fordham Law School

The International Insolvency Institute and the Fordham University School of Law this month have scheduled their Fifth Annual International Insolvency Conference.

The event will take place on Monday and Tuesday, June 6 and 7 at the Fordham University School of Law, 140 West 62nd Street, New York City. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first day and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m on the second day.

Some of the discussion topics over the two-day period include:

  • Cirque Du Monde: Juggling Money and Liability in an International Insolvency Case: Responsibilities of Directors and Officers in Insolvency and Pre-Insolvency Situations Worldwide;
  • The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: Insolvency and Restructuring in Latin America;
  • Current Trends in Europe and the New European Union System for Financial Difficulties of Financial Institutions.

The opening keynote speaker will be Dr. Roger M. Kubarych, Council on Foreign Relations, who will discuss The Economics of Failure. The Monday evening dinner will feature the presentation of the III Outstanding Contributions Award 2005 to Dr. Shinjiro Takagi, chair of the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan.
