Mia Friedman Joins Fish & Richardson as Pro Bono Manager
Fish & Richardson announced that Mia Friedman has joined the firm as Pro Bono Manager. Friedman, who is based in the Boston office, will lead and manage the firm’s pro bono practice for Fish’s 11 U.S. offices. She will report to Fish’s Chief Legal Talent & Inclusion Officer and will work closely with the firm-wide Pro Bono Chair and Coordinators in each office.

Fish & Richardson has received the Allegiance Award from Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), a national pro bono organization, for the firm’s outstanding pro bono commitment to representing unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children. Fish has been working with KIND since 2009 and has contributed over 11,000 pro bono hours to the organization.

Fish has helped China’s leading companies obtain, enforce and defend their intellectual property rights in the U.S. and Europe for many years and will now support this work from its new location in Shenzhen. The Chinese Ministry of Justice approved Fish’s application in November 2018, and the office opened on January 1, 2019.
